Re: Excalibur 405 riser opinion
I found a slight little split in it. It looked like a splinter was just starting. so I sent it in. I think most non-mod’d risers / limbs are like this. That is for earlier generation Matrix and BD series (the only ones I have). When I first got my M380 5-6 years ago, I personally rounded the riser ...

Re: Excalibur 405 riser opinion
i would send the riser in. cant hurt. they will take a little radius off the shelf where the limbs leave the riser and install spacers that allow the limbs to breathe at the recoil plates. you shouldnt loose any speed if your limbs are already getting 405fps. my guess the reason you dont see as man...

Re: Charger crank
I think I’m fairly high on Wyvern’s list. I’ve been on it for a year. It will also go on my BD400.

Re: Very strange!! Arrow test.
This testing involves a number of parameters being tested; therefore, not all arrows of a kind are being tested simultaneously. A major objective of mine is to find the flattest shooting arrow configuration that will be as accurate as practical IOT extend maximum practical hunting ranges. This objec...

Re: Limb numbers
The higher the number the stiffer the limb. It appears that 2 different scales have been used. One in the 50s and another in the 100 area. A 55 is stiffer than a 54, etc.

Re: Crossbow scope on a rifle?
A dedicated xbow scope has range markings that are designed for a relatively slow projectile depending on the 22 bullet used, I’d consider sighting in with the center xhair. That xhair will be on at the sighted in distance regardless of scope setting. Then I’d set it to the highest setting and see w...

They shot everybody else in the foot. They’re still having record sales. Wonder about 2 years from now.

Re: WI xbow season
ng opportunity at a more clement time of the year. The legislation required the crossbow season “clement” ?? Def: mild or merciful. Do most people know the definition of “clement”? I didn’t until I looked it up. Also, some shotgun slugs/well selected/setup shotguns are truly 200 yd guns. NO xbow I k...

Re: Very strange!! Arrow test.
I’m certainly at a loss. The BD400 & M380 are relatively close performance-wise. Though this shouldn’t be a factor, the Optimizer/Weaver T-36 has a greater chance of inconsistency than the simple Zeiss XB75(on BD). Trends are starting to emerge. As has been historically accepted, longer arrows gener...

Re: My Final Product 380 Matrix
Looks great! I'm out of the upgrading game this year. Lol I agree, it looks great to me also. From a personal sense, how does one “upgrade” from a M380,405,405, and a BD400? What’s better that those? What’s better than having 1 M380 like Dan has? Especially, when they’re ideally set up with “upgrad...

Re: new matrix string seems shorter??
30 fps is a little much. maybe 5. Speeds can vary quite a bit. I have strings that range from 99gs to 210gs. There is a wide variance in the speeds these strings yield. I’ve found that the lighter flemish strings (108-110gs) and the factory (DM) strings (99-100gs) are very close in speeds.
